Selecting Files for Your ABS Off-Site Backup

Step Four: Scheduling the Backup to Run Automatically

Once you've selected the files you want to backup, you can schedule the backup to run automatically. Click on "Schedules" in the tabbed menu across the top.

When scheduling your backup, there schedule options form is presented. The backup schedule name may be filled in already. You can change this if you wish. Below that is the name you gave the file selection, or group of files you want to backup. If this is blank, click the arrowhead on the right hand side. The name you gave your list of files should be there. If empty, go back to the page on selecting files to backup.

Once you have selected the files you want to back up, the program needs to know who it should pretend to be while it backs up your files. Normally, your computer's name and your sign in name will appear under "Run as:". This may be enough if you are able to open all the files. If signing in requires you to type a password, you will need to click "Set password..." and type it in. Alternatively, ...

... You may choose to let the ABS Backup program run as though it were a part of Windows itself. To do this, just check the box next to "Run as local system". This should allow the ABS Backup program to access all files on the computer.
